As mentioned last week, you will want to be in worship at Northminster on February 2 to hear from the team and get your own glimpse of the National Gathering:

Northminster's Annual Congregational Meeting, Sunday, February 2, 10:15 in Trinity Room. I hope you plan to attend this special time of fellowship shared around a table meal and hearing from the leadership of the church. 2024/25 Annual Reports are available copy in the Northminster Narthex/Lobby or on the website, CLICK HERE.
The Session voted on those who will be nominated to serve on the Pastor Search Team. Those being nominated on this slate include two Elders ~ Katie Pruess and Karen Ring and five other Covenant Partners ~ Stephen Carpenter, Pam Garner, Randy McCrea, Lori Rohlfing, and Anna Vandermyde. This slate of nominees will be presented on February 2 at the Annual Congregational Meeting.
Nursery and childcare will be extended and include making sure the little ones are fed and having fun during the meeting! We will celebrate God's work over the past year through the ministry and mission of Northminster and we will envision together what the LORD has for His Church in 2025 as we are on mission with God to Make and Strengthen Disciples Who Reveal the Love of Jesus.
Always in Christ, dear ones.

VALENTINE'S MISSION OPPORTUNITIES |
|
|
|
|
The Missions Team is offering opportunities for you to share agape love through our outreach projects for Valentine’s Day this year. We’d like to deliver plates of homemade cookies and Valentine’s cards to homebound members, as well as donate homemade cookies to the Dream Center Peoria to be distributed to their guests.
We have a couple of opportunities for you to participate - baking cookies and delivering cookies to our homebound members. Below is a description of each opportunity.
- We are seeking batches of homemade cookies. Plates will be assembled and delivered to our homebound members, as well as the Dream Center Peoria. Additional cookies will be taken to the General Wayne A Downing Veterans Home for Veterans to share with their residents. Cookie donations need to be delivered to the church on Wednesday, February 12th, by 3pm. Please mark them “Valentine’s Cookie Donation” and leave them on the table in Room 101 (next to the office).
- Help is also needed to deliver the cookie plates and cards to our homebound members. Delivery will occur on Thursday, February 13th, starting at 10am until finished (usually by noon).
If you are able to bake cookies or help with delivery, please contact Lisa Lewis (309.253.1916) or Pam Garner (309.453.9928). A sign-up sheet will also be available in the lobby on Sundays, February 2nd and 9th.

OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THOSE AFFECTED BY THE LA WILDFIRES
In light of the tragic fires in Los Angeles, the Missions Team has sent $1,000 dollars from our Missions monies to the LA Presbyteries to support those in need. Additionally, we are inviting the congregation to contribute financially to provide the help and support needed for those who have been decimated by the fires. ECO has provided us with several avenues to do just that. The two presbyteries that cover the LA region, the Southern California Presbytery and the Mission Presbytery, are joining together to collect funds to support people in need. In addition, ECO has two partners, World Renew and Convoy of Hope, that will be supporting those in need. If you wish to make a contribution through one of these trusted organizations, please use the links provided. Together through our contributions we seek to serve the basic needs of our California neighbors with genuine agape care.
